I really had to think about this, what is my focus as an “artist,” a guy who was never considered an artist - to put himself out there, exposed… Pun intended.
We have one opportunity to experience something new—a fleeting moment of light. I seek beauty in all things and aim to capture and share these moments through my photos. With a camera, I preserve these instances and express them without words, letting you understand them in your own way. I reveal what is often unnoticed and focus on the overlooked.
I focus on the present, sparking a dialogue with myself, my subject, and viewers. I hope this exchange encourages you to rethink your perspectives and leaves a lasting impact.
I want to praise my subjects and highlight the beauty I see in them. I don’t hide their flaws or insecurities. Instead, I show them that they are beautiful just as they are. Isn’t that how we all wish to be viewed?
I think by being behind the camera, I too am no longer passed over, no longer invisible, no longer unseen, I’m accepted as I am, but I get to put others into the spotlight.
